Welcome to Sohryu.nu, a domain run by me, Sofia. This domain is a collective, currently housing all my various projects either online or offline. Born as an anime/manga/gaming-oriented collective, Sohryu.nu later evolved and it now includes sites dedicated to non-Japanese fandom as well. Hopefully this variety means you are bound to find something that suits your tastes ;)
Everything you need can be found on this page, so just scroll down and take a look at what I have to offer. I wish you will enjoy your stay!
You are currently Sohryu.nu‘s version 4, titled Superstar!. It features, as usual, Asuka Sohryu Langley from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Lyrics are from the song “Komm, susser Tod”, or “Come Sweet Death” again from Evangelion. All the images were scanned by me from the Der Mond artbook. Textures used are from desiderio, Hybrid Genesis and Streetcarcircus while brushes are from ewanism, masterjinn, myrasis, Sanami276 and Yumei-K.
Fanlistings are updated on a (more or less) daily basis, my Livejournal is regularly updated as well. All my other sites, namely the wannabe shrine sections of some fanlistings, have been taken down and will be re-uploaded only when they’ll be more consistent. There is so much planned and a lot of new sites are on their way!
The Wired: my "bookmarks" site. The Wired is a collection of links; at the moment there are collectives, fansites and resources (scripts, programs, graphics…)
(*) more fanlistings can be found on my Owned fanlistings page.
Silhouette: a gallery to collect all the various images (scans, screencaps, etc…) for my current shrines.
Ab Intra: Ab Intra is a shrine to Light Yagami from the anime/manga Death Note. Created for the Amassment villains shrine marathon, Ab Intra currently houses only a handful of essays about Light, although I plan to expand this shrine and turn it into a large-sized dedication to your favourite killer with God complex.
Blitzartig: the third shrine on the network is dedicated to the chicken-wuss everybody loves; Zell Dincht from Final Fantasy VIII. Blitzartig is linked with Kung-Fu Devil, my Zell fanlisting approved by thefanlistings.org.
Destati: a shrine dedicated to His Dark Materials, a fantasy book trilogy written by English author Philip Pullmann. At the moment Destati covers only the events of the first book, but it will be expanded in the future to include information on the whole series.
Full of Grace: a small shrine dedicated to a minor character from Neon Genesis Evangelion; Kaworu Nagisa. When I saw the Minor Character Marathon at Amassment I couldn’t miss the chance to create a tribute to one of my favourite characters in the series.
I Miss You: created for the 2010 One Page One Month marathon at Amassment, I Miss You is dedicated to Jack Skellington and Sally from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. A fanlisting for the relationship between Jack and Sally is also included.
Nymph: opened after an extremely long delay, Nymph is a shrine to Rydia from Final Fantasy IV the first game in the famous saga to feature unique classes. Nymph combines an extensive biography coupled with various essays about the most interesting aspect the “first summoner” has to offer.
Nocturne: the very first shrine I created after many fanlisting-making days. Nocturne is a tribute to Shuyin, the antagonist of Final Fantasy X-2. Nocturne is also partnered with Endless, my TFL-approved Shuyin fanlisting.
Odi & Amo: a shrine for the complex relationship between Asuka Sohryu Langley and Shinji Ikari from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Odi & Amo is part of Project E. and is affiliated with Save Me From Myself, my Asuka/Shinji fanlisting.
Second Chances: created for the General Series Marathon organised at Amassment, this tribute to Final Fantasy VIII aims to give a general introductions to one of my favourite games in the entire Final Fantasy saga.
Weird: in July 2011 the annual One Page, One Month marathon took place at Amassment and Weird is the shrine I made for it. Dedicated to the anime Serial Experiments Lain, its aim is to present this series and help to understand it.
