Final Fantasy VIII

Final Fantasy VIII is a RPG released by Square (now Square-Enix) for Sony’s PlayStation in 1999 and Microsoft’s Windows-based personal computers in 2000. Final Fantasy VIII is a departure from many traditional standards of the Final Fantasy series. It is the first game in the series to use realistically proportioned characters and to feature a vocal piece (“Eyes on Me” performed by Chinese pop singer Faye Wong) as its theme music.

Squall Leonhart is a student at Balamb Garden, a military academy. After successfully completing a training mission, together with his classmates Selphie Tilmitt and Zell Dincht, they join an elite combat unit called SeeD. While Final Fantasy VIII begins in the academy, the plot has so many twists that a local battle between two rival Gardens will eventually evolve into something much bigger. As the story progresses, Squall and his companions will have to protect the world from a Sorcess who’s manipulating the war for her own purposes.

Zell Dincht

Zell is one of the first characters the player meets. He is an expert with martial arts and loves hot-dogs, too bad that most of the times he goes to the Cafeteria they are already sold out xD

Zell acts as the comic relief; he is spontaneous, sometimes a bit imprudent, but he is also very loyal to his friend and is always willing to help them (as with the Rinoa/Squall ring). Even though Zell was designed like the main character of a shōnen manga (which means his main role was to be funny), he can also be serious when the situation calls for it, such as when he stands up to defend the Moomba while held in District-D prison.
