Asuka looks for a place where she can wear her plug suit. Eventually, she finds a suitable spot under a flight of stairs. When Shinji leans out to see if she is ready, Asuka expresses her despise towards men, especially for boys of her own age.
Asuka: Don’t peep, you jerk!
Shinji: Sorry!
Asuka: Why are boys such perverted idiots!
After Asuka has changed clothes, she tells Shinji she will take him along for the battle:
Asuka: You have to come with me, too!
Shinji: Hey, why are we changing into plug suits?
Asuka: Are you stupid? I’m gonna beat it with my Unit Two.
Shinji: That’s going too far. What about Misato-san’s permission?

After Unit 02 has been dragged underwater by Gaghiel.
Asuka: What?! It’s not working!
Shinji: That’s because it’s B-type 2 equipment.
Asuka: What’re you going to do?!

Asuka: You are the Third Child aren’t you? Do something!
(After being half swallowed)
Shinji: From a bad situation to a worse one.
