Hello and welcome to Weird, a one-page shrine dedicated to the anime Serial Experiments Lain! Lain is quite a unique piece of work under many aspects and it is an anime that one can either love or hate (I obviously belong to the first category ;)). Since those who do not like Lain normally have that opinion because they don’t get what is going on, I would like to make things a bit clearer with the shrine.
Please note: I would like to point out that Weird is not a detailed guide to every aspect of the anime. I left out some details on purpose so that those who aren’t familiar with the series, may be able to understand it without loosing themselves in the more technical aspects of Lain.
Also, although there are spoilers (don’t worry, they are all marked!), I decided not to spoil everything. In this way if you haven’t watched Lain yet, you may still be able to enjoy it.
