Final Fantasy X-2‘s story picks up from where Final Fantasy X left. The story of Shuyin and Lenne instead, begins one thousand years before the adventure of Tidus, Yuna and their friends.
This section focuses on narrating what happened during the life of Shuyin and Lenne up to the time of their deaths. Then there is a recap of the events of Final Fantasy X and a description of what happened during the two years between X and its sequel. The last part is dedicated to the actual story of X-2.
