As the story progresses, many events take place making Yuna’s quest for Tidus more complex.

No one knows why, but fiends are pouring out of the temples. Baralai, Gippal and Nooj are nowhere to be found so Yu-Ri-Pa’s investigate the matter. They find out that the problem lies within the chamber of the Fayth, where the Aeons reside. Yuna pleads the Aeons for she doesn’t want to fight them, but in the end she has no other choice.

After battling Ixion in D’Jose Temple, Yu-Ri-Pa approach the dark hole left behind the fallen Aeon. Yuna would prefer not to jump in it, but when Ixion shoots its last attack the hole is the only way to dodge it.

Yuna finds herself in the Farplane, surrounded by pyreflies and flowers. She hears a voice and looks around, trying to see the person who has just talked. Shuyin comes out from the mist of the Farplane. He mistakes Yuna for Lenne.

Shuyin: I finally found you.
Yuna: Is that.. really you?
Shuyin: It is me…Shuyin. I’ve waited so long, Lenne.
Yuna: But I’m not Lenne.
Shuyin: Lenne, we disappeared together…But when I awoke, I was alone. I looked for you for so long. While I wandered, I realized something. Spira hasn’t really changed at all. Everyone’s still fighting over nothing, still dying like they used to. 1000 years have passed and they can’t leave the hatred behind. I’m through waiting. I’ll fix it. This world continues to fail us. And what’s worse, I failed to protect you. Vegnagun will make that all go away. And we’ll fade again.. together. Help me do it, Lenne.
Yuna: Don’t touch me. Who’s feelings are these? Lenne’s? Mine?

Shuyin wraps his arms around Yuna, she feels uncomfortable but can’t move. Few moments later, Nooj yells out, “Open your eyes!”.
While Nooj and Gippal arrive, Baralai walks away. He holds up his hand opening a portal, then he walks into it.
