Words
During their travel along Spira, Yu-Ri-Pa notice the growing hate between the Youth League and New Yevon. This appal them for The Calm was supposed to be a period of peace, not a period to bring even more anger and hate than in Sin’s era.
All that madness has to be stopped. Yuna remembers that during her pilgrimage of two years before, the airship she travelled on played the Hymn of the Fayth. Since that event proved to be a a great comfort for Spira’s people, the Gullwings decide that Yuna would perform a concert. Hopefully her voice can put an end to the feud.
After asking for help from Tobli1 with promoting the event, the Thunder Plains is the place chosen to held the concert. Being it a large area, it is ideal to hold a big crowd. The Hypellos2 help to spread the word and people from all Spira start to gather in the elected location.
The day of the event Yuna steps out onto the deck of the Celsius and gives a speech. Then she starts to sing “1000 no kotoba”. As she sings, a projection of the past is shown on the large screen created by Shinra. There are images of Shuyin standing before Vegnagun and of both him and Lenne’s last moments. While these scenes play, Lenne appears at Yuna’s side and begins to sing with her. Yuna’s song is not only her own, but it also expresses Lenne’s feelings…words she has been wanting to say to Shuyin for a very long time.
As the song ends, Lenne fades away and Yuna, exhausted, falls to her knees.
- Tobli is a stage-producer who admires Yuna for being able to draw a big crowd whenever she performs. He speaks very fast and gets easily excited. He is a Final Fantasy X-2-only character. [↩]
- Hypellos are aquatic creatures present in both Final Fantasy X and X-2. Although many Hypellos work together with Spira’s inhabitants, none of them is able to talk very well and they normally distort even the simpler words. [↩]
