Wee…it’s been a while since I last posted here! Anyway, I come bearing a (small) news :)
About a month ago I was picked to be the new owner of the Raito/Light Yagami (Death Note) fanlisting, which is now up and running:
I was very happy to be approved not only because Twilight will be partnered with Ab Intra, my Light shrine, but also because Light is without a doubt one of my favourite male characters. (Blond? Check. Pretty? Check. Villain? Check. Smart? Check. How could I possibly not like him? :3)
I’m going to update Oh Poison! soon with both the about page for Light and a new round of adoptions. I still haven’t made a definitive list, but I’m looking forward to adopt out around 2/3 fanlistings.

I feel like I’ve become an habitué to Amassment‘s marathons. What can I say…they are great and I like to make shrines so…here is my entry to the General Series marathon:
Second Chances is dedicated to Final Fantasy VIII; the first RPG and also Final Fantasy I ever played…many, many years ago! Even though Final Fantasy VIII is more than 10 years old (yikes! that makes *me* feel old), it is still one of my favourite RPGs and I’ve replayed it countless times.
This shrine was supposed to have more sections, but I unfortunately had to deal with some network security-related problems throughout all December and part of January. While I had already drafted all the pages, I also had little time left before the deadline. Besides…I didn’t have a layout because inspiration goes MIA right when you need it the most -.- Anyway, I tried to put together enough pages to give an initial, but exhaustive, overview of the game.
As always, I hope you will enjoy browsing my latest creation :)
Coming up: Now that Second Chances was completed, it's time to focus on new projects! Actually, I have already began to organise some idea and material for two different shrines (one videogame-based, while the other is anime-based). Also, Sohryu Projects will be updated soon to reflect this year's to-dos.

Even though the whole injured wrist problem isn’t solved yet, I don’t have to wear a brace any more…hurrah for having my hands back :D Now that I’m finally brace-less, I managed to put together the very first update of 2012.
I took a short break from the general series shrine I’m working on, to fix a few things over Oh Poison!. Most of the changes were done to the back end, so they cannot be seen, but I also made some changes to the front end:
- the KIM script was replaced and the whole page was updated. The members list got lost during the transfer, but I luckily had a partial list on my HD (with names and email addresses) so all the KIM listers were notified and asked to re-join. Obviously everybody is free to join…all it takes a a few minutes to compile the form :)
- I did a general link check on the adopted/closed fanlistings pages as well as on the affiliates. I removed a lot of broken links in both sections. Affiliation is still open so if you have a fanlisting collective and want to exchange links with Oh Poison! contact me
- the joined page was merged with the network’s joined page so cliques, webrings, rotations and fanlistings can now be found on the same page. I also managed to show the latest fanlistings joined, something which I was never able to do with the script I previously used
Talking about single fanlistings…the Sora fanlisting was moved from http://sora.sohryu.nu to http://fan.sohryu.nu/sora/. While I still plan to make the shrine (the reason why I originally put the fanlisting on a subdomain when I opened it years ago), I prefer to keep all my fanlistings under the same directory and separated from their respective shrines, as I already did with Nocturne and Blitzartig.
Coming up: I have a few fanlistings-related updates planned, but with the general series shrine deadline approaching that project is my priority.

Music: Final Fantasy VIII OST - The Castle
Hi there everyone! How were your holidays and your first days of 2012? I hope you had a great time…as for me, well I found an innovative way to spend New Year’s Eve: in the ER, with an injured wrist, at the 3am. How cool is that? I bet not many people manage to have a bike accident December, 30 /unlucky me -__-
At the moment I’m wearing a brace, which will be removed next Thursday when I’ll have a TC scan of my right wrist. The following week I will be in the hospital again to show a doctor the TC scan results and find out whether the wrist has healed or not.
While I can type (obviously XD) using my left hand, I am much slower than usual. I had planned a series of updates, but given my current state they will have to wait. Here are some of the upcoming posts:
- 2011 recap: a post to take stock of this year’s accomplishments
- fanlistings affiliations: while I don’t normally keep track of affiliations, I’m on a massive fanlistings affiliation spree so I decided to make an exception
- 2012 projects: what’s in store for this year
- general series shrine: as usual, I had various issues that took a lot time away from this project, but I should be able to complete it for the deadline
I wanted to update Sohryu Projects January 1, but with my wrist in such bad conditions, it was out of question. I did however the New Year resolutions meme (at Amassment, where else?). The meme lists all of my 2012 shrines resolutions, which you are free to read and comment. The full list, including my other non-shrines sites will be released through Sohryu Projects as soon as I get both my hands back ;)

Sohryu Projects was updated to reflect all the sites updates I did starting from my graduation, back in April, up to now. All the sites under the high and mid priority categories were moved under the low priority category, while sites formerly on low priority have now become either high, or mid priority.
Let’s start from the new low priority sites. Here is a quick run-down of what I did during the past months and what is the current situation of the following sites:
- I Miss You: HD screencaps from The Nightmare Before Christmas were added to Silhouette.
- Odi et Amo: the biography section, along with a few other sections such as quotes or episode guide, was updated to cover all the 26 episodes of the series. Contrary to what I had originally planned, no new pages were added in this update. I did however do a complete link check and all the pages in story section feature caps.
- Shades of Grey: watched season 3 and re-watched season 2 to gather material for new pages.
- Weird: Weird, Sohryu.nu‘s new entry, is, like all the previous shrines, on low priority…mainly because I’ve just opened it and it will be a while before I update it since other shrines come first.
The situation of active and inactive sites hasn’t changed. Oh Poison!, Hello Jupiter, Navi, The Wired are all active. Nymph and :nocture:: instead, are still inactive as is Project E. Project E was actually meant to be on high priority. However, although I have many Evangelion-related projects on my to-do list, right now my focus is going to be on a certain Final Fantasy game…. Sohryu.nu is inactive as well, as I said before it will remain in this status until two or three shrines are 100% complete.
The new high and mid-priority sites are:
- Blitzartig: I have two Final Fantasy VIII-related projects on which I’m currently working, so I figured it is a good occasion to update Blitzartig with new pages and/or media.
- Ab Intra: Light’s shrine is very incomplete and I’d like to add a few pages (probably the ones I had already began to draft, but couldn’t finish for the marathon’s deadline).
- Silhouette: with Weird and I Miss You images added to the gallery, Silhouette‘s status is quite good. There is still a lot of media content from the other shrines to be added of course, but that’s not going to happen now. What I plan to do instead, is to give this site a facelift with a slightly more elaborate layout.
Also…I finally got around to make the status buttons and add them to all the sites on the network (I was supposed to have them already up before launching Sohryu Projects…*cough*…small delay ^_^;;;). The buttons are meant to be a quick indicator of each site’s current status. You can visit any of the links above to see them in action…or just take a look at Hello Jupiter‘s sidebar ;)
Coming up: I'm on an fanlisting affiliation spree at the moment so expect an update about that soon. I am also working on a new shrine and, again, this would be the subject of another post :)
