It was about time! After being online for almost two years, Odi et Amo finally received its first, serious update.
First of all, the shrine has moved to a new location and it can now be found at: http://sohryu.nu/otp/. It is like the old address, only without the eva subdomain. This doesn’t mean I’m dropping Project E. The only reason why I opted for the move is that having the shrine under the main domain (hence under the same script I use to manage all my other shrines) will make it easier for me to keep it up to date.
The layout is still the same, except for the menu. A while ago some people reported me about having troubles with the script I was using so I replaced it with a new one which should, hopefully, work just fine in any browser. I also did some minor changes to the stylesheet and replaced the old footnotes with fancy, JQuery-based tooltips.
Now, onto the content update…
- all the old sections were revised and checked against typos, errors, and the like
- the Story section was heavily updated with many new pages: it now covers all the 26 episodes of the anime with a total of 6 pages added
- the Verbal, Episode Guide and Gender pages were also updated to include the quotes, episode synopsis and Angels of the new episodes analysed (15, 16, 18 and 22)
- the Media section hasn’t been opened yet (I’ll probably leave it for the next update), but all the pages in the Story section feature a few selected caps to show important interactions between Asuka and Shinji
- the Links section was purged of many dead links, but a few more couple shrines were added to the list so that should even things out :)
Since I still have no affiliates, affiliation is open to any site related to the Evangelion franchise or any couple shrine in general (anime, manga, videogame…it doesn’t matter as long as it is dedicated to two characters).
And that is all for today. Network-wise I may update another old shrine before moving on some new (and still undecided) shrine projects. I do have two fanlistings on my upcoming list (well, technically it would be only one but since I haven’t plugged the second yet because of its ugly layout I count it as unfinished :P) so those are my priority right now!
Coming up: I have a few more pages planned and there is still that Media section to do…

Silhouette has been recently updated with two new albums.
The first new album was created for Weird, the one-page shrine dedicated to Serial Experiments Lain. So far, this album has all the four Lain artbooks scanned, plus a few pencil sketches downloaded from the official site, which are no longer available. For downloading purposes, most of the images scanned (not the sketches, they come in their original size) were greatly resized. I did however leave them large enough to make wallpapers/big arts and, of course, they are perfect to be used in small arts such as icons and buttons.
At the moment there aren’t any caps. As I have already anticipated in Weird‘s launch post, it’s likely that some errors occurred (without me noticing it) when I converted the episodes taken from the DVD, in files I could load from my HD. Needless to say, I do plan to take the caps again and add them to the gallery. I still don’t know when I will do that since I still have lots of things to do this month.
There are however caps in the second album added to Silhouette. I Miss You now has a gallery with HD caps from my own copy of The Nightmare Before Christmas. I decided to cap the entire film and not only the Jack/Sally scenes since I couldn’t find any HD caps online.
On the technical side, Zenphoto was upgraded to the latest version and everything went quite smooth (considering I didn’t notice my version was very outdated ^_^;;;). I also slightly modified the layout, but nothing major. A new layout is planned, not for now, though…as I said before I’ve got a lot on my plate!
That’s all for Silhouette, but I have much more in store for the other sites on the network (both old and new), so keep an eye on Hello Jupiter ;)
Coming up: I'm trying to expand the media section of all the shrines I own. As of yet, I don't know which site will I update next, but I would like to regularly update Silhouette with new content. And maybe a new layout :)

After launching my Zell shrine I decided to open a new section on The Wired, with a list of shrines I like/visit/etc….
So far this section includes only shrines from the same series of my own shrines, which means Neon Genesis Evangelion, Final Fantasy VIII and Final Fantasy X/X-2, but it will be definitely expanded in the future :)
I also did some spring cleaning; a few dead links were deleted and about 15 new websites were added. As usual link exchanges and/or affiliation are accepted.
Coming up: nothing ATM (except from link checks once in a while).

Seriously, now it really is!
This revamp wasn’t planned at all, or rather it was…just not now.
It all started after I was approved to run the Sawyer fanlisting about two weeks ago. First of all I had to update the “Owned” and “Wishlist” pages to reflect the change. After that I began to test a new script for the KIM list (and spent a few days fighting with it because it wasn’t working properly @__@), then I moved to spell check the owned fanlistings description, then I did a link check of my joined fanlistings…
After modifying small things here and there I decided it was about time to complete the revamp once for all and do what was left after my previous revamp.
So, here are the news:
- New site structure
- Listings: owned and on adoption
- Special: new section! Dedicated to joined, KIM and wishlist
- Extra: milestones, members count and adopted out/closed fanlistings
- Site: about (rewritten), history, layout
- Owned section: added two new descriptions; CSI Miami and Cold Weather
- Checked all the links: affiliates, KIM listers, joined fanlistings
- Spell checked all the sections
- Tested the layout in Internet Explorer and, since, of course, the owned page wasn’t displayed correctly (margin/padding problem) I modified the .css.

It was about time! I’ve finally complete the revamp of my fanlisting collective. A revamp started…uh…months ago? -__-
Apart from correcting few mistakes, the biggest changes involved the “owned” and “Wishlist” pages.
Before the “Owned” page was limited to list all my fanlistings, divided by category. Now each fanlisting has its own page where I’ve wrote basic, spoiler-free information about the subject and eventually the reason why I like that particular subject.
I was originally going to put this kind of information on the fanlistings’ about page, but then I though it wasn’t really useful. Afterall, when someone visits a fanlisting it’s because they want to join it and therefore, they are already familiar with the subject. At least this is what I do and what I think most people do. On the other hand if someone visits my collective, they may not know everything about all the fanlistings I own.
On the “Wishlist” page before there were listed only the normal wishlisters, top wishlisters had their own page. Now both are listed on the same page, I’ve shortened the top wishlisters’ explanation and kept the long version only for me. Just in case some of those fanlistings will become available in the future xD
Coming up: add few more fanlistings to the wishlist, joined fanlistings link check
